For several years now, we have been working in partnership with the non-profit organisation Tischlein deck dich and supporting it through regular food donations. In doing so, we help reduce food waste while at the same time supporting people affected by poverty.
Meaningful redistribution of food
Tischlein deck dich collects food that is perfectly safe for consumption but can no longer be sold. These products are redistributed to people affected by poverty across Switzerland. Around 4,800 volunteers at 168 distribution centres ensure that donated food is carefully checked and handed out to those in need.
During a visit to the Zurich-Altstetten distribution centre, we were given a first-hand insight into the organisation’s work and the dedication of its volunteers. A visit that clearly shows: food rescue really does make a difference.
